Welcome!
 
Hi, my name is Brittany Salazar and I am your child's school counselor. I was born and raised in Gonzales, TX and graduated from Gonzales High School in 2004. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in English from TX State University - San Marcos in 2008, and received my Masters of Education from the University of Houston - Victoria in 2014. I taught 8th grade for 4 years at Gonzales Jr. High School and have been working as a school counselor for the past 8 years at the elementary and middle school levels. I love what I do and am passionate about helping children of all ages. Locker clean out information
 
You may come up to the school to clean out your lockers on the following dates and times:
 
Tuesday, May 19: 9am - Noon - All grades last name letters A-G
Tuesday, May 19: 1pm - 4pm - All grades last name letters H - M
Wednesday, May 20: 9am - Noon - All grades last name letters N-Z
Wednesday, May 20: 1-4pm - Last Call for all GMS students
 
6th grade: Enter through double doors by front office
7th grade: Enter through door by Cafeteria/Mrs. Mertz's room
8th grade: Enter through double doors in the 8th grade hall
 
 
GMS COUNSELING DEPARTMENT GOOGLE CLASSROOM
 
  • Email Mrs. Salazar if you need a code for your student 
  • Students will utilize GMS Counseling Department Google Classroom to communicate with Mrs. Salazar during COVID-19 pandemic. 
  • All course selections will be electronically delivered and submitted via Google Classroom.
